This is the national park that probably first comes to mind when you think of the word ‘safari’, and with good reason as the Serengeti is home to the Great Migration. It is located in north-central Tanzania and is inhabited by over 2 million ungulates, 4000 lions, 1000 leopards and so much more in an area close to 15,000 square kilometres in size.

Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is the world’s biggest intact volcanic caldera and home to 115 different animal species. The rim of the crater is about 2,200m high and has its own climate. Being one of the few places where you can see the big 5 animals (lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and buffaloes) this is definitely a place to not be missed when planning your safari experience. You can also encounter Maasai communities and learn about their traditional way of life.
Recommended Visit Duration: 1-2 days
Lake Manyara is a scenic park that encompasses a large soda lake, dense forests, and open grassy areas. It’s renowned for its tree-climbing lions, flamingoes, large elephant population, hippos, and vibrant birdlife.

Named after the permanent Tarangire River being it’s most dominant feature, this national park attracts large numbers of elephants (one of the largest elephant populations in Africa), wildebeests, gazelles and various predators like lions that come to drink and graze around the river banks, during the rain months of November to May.
Recommended Visit Duration: 1-2 days
Home to Tanzania’s second highest mountain, Mount Meru and the world’s largest population of giraffes. Being the most accessible of all parks – just 25 km east of Arusha, it can be done as a day trip.
Recommended Visit Duration: Half to Full Day
Previously a game reserve and fairly new in its designation as a National Park, Mkomazi has a number of uniqueness. It has fewer crowds as it is remote and originally difficult to reach but this means animals roam around even freely. You’ll also get the chance to visit the rhino sanctuary!
Recommended Visit Duration: 1 Day
Immerse yourself in the animal’s natural habitat and see them roam freely. With wonders like Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti Plains, this is your chance to spot the Big 5.

The season in Serengeti National Park, where hundreds of thousands of wildebeest give birth to their calves. This period, from January to March, attracts many predators as well as tourists who come to witness this natural spectacle.

Expect familiar food with occasional local touches. Most lodges will offer buffet-style dining whilst others may have set menus. If you have any dietary requirements we can accommodate these for you but please let us know in advance. If you are out driving during the day, your driver will take a packed lunch for you.
The different National Parks – Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro – may look close on a map, but there is a considerable amount of driving between each location. Approximate driving times are listed below. While this gives you the opportunity to see more of the Tanzania countryside – look out for Maasai villages beside the road, children tending their herds of goats and cattle, and roadside markets – you will not see any game during these transit times.
We would recommend being up and early for a game drive – around 6am as this time is cooler in the day, the animals are most active, you get ahead of the other tourists and since the park fees are paid by day (end of day being 6pm) then leaving early means you can get the most out of the day. However, as we provide you with a completely customisable itinerary, you are free to choose your schedule depending on your comfort.
Our safari vehicle can accommodate up to 7 people. Every vehicle will have a rooftop and sliding windows for better viewing experience
